Tomasini Pierret — Notaires

A small office, specialised.

Tomasini Pierret — Notaires is the Paris office of Marine Tomasini and Franck-Alexis Pierret. It is built around a business law practice — financing, security, investment real estate, share transactions — and a full notarial practice for individuals and families: real estate, family law, succession.

Our approach

The notaire is a craftsman of the law. We are here to turn our clients’ intentions into deeds, and to advise them on the mechanisms available.

We have chosen to remain a small office: the notaire who executes the deed is the one who followed the negotiation. He or she knows the documentation, the history of the open points and each party’s timetable constraints.

How we work

  • We act for the parties, in coordination with their advisers.
  • We are available: reachable on a direct line, responsive, present at the hours the matter requires, committed to deadlines, in the service of each client’s intentions — which we turn into deeds, having set out the mechanisms available — and the same notaire remains in charge after signing.
  • From the opening of the matter we set a timetable of steps: draft deed, conditions precedent, signing, formalities, registration, delivery of land registry extracts.
  • We carry out due diligence on every property before signing — title, easements, planning, tenancies, environment — and deliver the due diligence notes together with the statement of costs and disbursements.
  • We practise modern notarial law: electronic notarial deeds by default, documents exchanged on a secure data room, meetings by video conference, notarial power of attorney executed remotely when you cannot attend.

Our commitments

  • Professional secrecy. No information relating to a matter is disclosed to a third party, and no transaction is cited as a commercial reference.
  • Independence and impartiality. The notaire is a public officer. He or she executes the deed for all parties and owes each of them a duty to advise.
  • Safekeeping. Deeds are kept, and copies can be issued, without any time limit.
  • Funds. The sums we hold on behalf of the parties are deposited with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, in a regulated account. The payment we record in the deed is conclusive unless challenged through the special forgery procedure (inscription de faux).
  • Guarantee. The office is covered by the profession’s professional indemnity insurance and by the collective guarantee of the French notarial profession.
