Fees and charges

The cost of a notarial transaction breaks down into three separate amounts. We itemise them before signing, in a statement delivered to each party.

Three components

ComponentWhat it isWho receives it
Duties and taxesRegistration duties, land registration tax, real estate security contribution, VATThe State and local authorities
DisbursementsSums advanced on the client’s behalf: land registry searches, planning documents, formalitiesThird parties

Regulated tariff

The fees for services subject to the tariff are set by the ministerial order of 28 February 2020 fixing the regulated tariffs of notaires. They are identical in every office in France. Discounts may be granted under the conditions laid down by the French Commercial Code (arts. L. 444-2 and R. 444-10): where a discount is applied, it is applied at the same rate to all clients for the same service.

Negotiated fees

Services outside the regulated tariff — consultations, negotiations, drafting of private agreements, assistance on a financing transaction — are subject to fees freely agreed in writing before any work is undertaken. We provide a quote on request.

Request a quote

An estimated statement, distinguishing duties, disbursements and the office’s remuneration, is prepared on request on the basis of the nature of the transaction, its amount and its timetable.
